SAARC AA 2024
It is indeed a great pleasure to write this invitation for the 15th SAARC-AA Conference to be held in Dhaka, Bangladesh from December 8-10, 2024 along with the 50 years of BSA-CCPP golden jubilee celebration which will be held in Hotel Pan Pacific Sonargaon, Dhaka.
These events hopefully would give us an opportunity to look back on the past and prepare ourselves for the future as well. Bangladesh Society of Anaesthesiologists Critical Care and Pain Physicians (BSA-CCPP) has pioneered the formation of SACA (South Asian Confederation of Anaesthesiologists) now known as SAARC-AA and is a forum for more than 1.5 billion people. It is matter of our pride that its first Congress was held in the year 1993 here in Dhaka. World Federation of Societies of Anaesthesiologists (WFSA) has declared SAARC AA forum as one of its regional body.
This has given us a different impetus and we are proud to be acknowledged the 15th Congress theme ‘Anaesthesia and Subspecialties Development’ has been chosen to highlight the advances of Anaesthesia services and time demanding it’s subspecialty development.

We are welcoming all of you to the 15th SAARC-AA International Congress along with the Celebration of 50 years of Anaesthesia society golden jubilee which will be held in Dhaka 8th – 10th December 2024. Bangladesh is pioneer in holding the 1st SAARC-AA Congress (SACA’1993) & subsequently 5th SAARC-AA Congress and 10th SAARC-AA Congress. These three congresses were gloriously and successfully conducted at DHAKA. Hopefully your participation in this upcoming 15th congress will be unforgettable for its mega scientific event with glorious cultural and social activities.
Bangladesh is a country known for its rich culture, history, and hospitality. The people of Bangladesh are known for their warm and welcoming nature, and visitors to the country are often struck by the kindness and generosity of the locals. Hospitality is an important part of our culture.
Bangladesh is land of green and river with great history. You will also enjoy the remarkable natural beauty of Bangladesh.
Being an active partner of The SAARC Country, Bangladesh plays vital role in the international and regional forum for sharing common problem of this reason. This time the theme is “Anaesthesia and Subspecialties Development”. We will explore the current status and way out to develop critical care, pain medicine and other specialties under the same umbrella of Anaesthesia.

Dear Colleagues
This has given us a different impetus and we are proud to be acknowledged the 15th Congress theme ‘Anaesthesia and Subspecialties Development’ has been chosen with the aim of all subspecialties development under the umbrella of Anaesthesia. To underscore this very important point we are going to organize a scientific reunion with a pre-congress workshop on different aspects of anaesthesia, critical care, pain medicine and other anaesthesia subspecialties followed by the main event when reputed faculties from both SAARC and Non-SAARC countries will be expected to participate through a number of symposia, plenary and free paper sessions covering important topical issues.
This invitation letter is a call for you to respond by confirming your participation and submitting abstract of your chosen topic. The product of your original research work will be included mainly in poster sessions but some selected ones will be chosen for oral presentation.
We take this opportunity to invite you all from SAARC countries and also from the rest of the world to join us in the conference and enjoy the academic session while experiencing the immense hospitality of Bangladeshi people for which we are well known all over the world.
